The light source was from tiny bulbs (to resemble stars) on a black canvas (imitating night sky)

Its actually a collection of tiny lights to depict a star cluster in a

science exhibition. I used long exposure time to create this pattern.

Yeah this was in late october. You are right the sky looks overexposed. It was also foggy when I captured this scene. May be it was the fog effect.
