    Holymen parade 4

this is a lovely shot. good lighting, color, focus. I am not an expert to critique your work, so I am responding to this image, as if i were opening a magazine on tourism for the first time. The man in the image looks a little shy. But one cannot help but be drawn to his face by the bright orange headscarf and then lower to his apricot colored garments. This is lovely. Thanks for sharing.
  1. i thought the image was beautifully lit and shot, but I am always disturbed by the use of soft porn in nude art. Maybe nudes are so common today, that borderline porn is considered acceptable. I don't consider a nude model playing with her private regions as art but I guess that is what most people equate nude art with, these days. More is the pity.
  2. this is as natural a scene as any in many developing countries. The woman's hand and ladel slighty blurred, do not distract the eye from her face and that of the girl beside her, or the rich colors of her clothing and jewelry. The pot steaming; the fire blazing bright yellow-orange; earth-coloured walls lit up in the foreground, retreating into shadows in the background, all beautifully captured. Great composition and light. thank you for sharing.
  3. I agree with all the comments about this beautiful shot. Was it your intention to only include part of his temple at the top of the shot and his chin at the bottom, to emphasise the eyes of this man? I think his eyes would look just as intense, if his whole head were in the shot, but either way, it is still a beautiful piece of work. Thanks for sharing.

beautiful shot, imagery, color and joy to look at. It is not often that you find yourself enjoying a puddle. thanks for the memory, cheers
  4. yes nice original shot. It took a second look to realise what it depicted. I originally thought that the image was that of surfboard silhouettes on a wall but on closer look was pleasantly surprised to see the camel legs. And the Sahara is such a beautiful backdrop for any photograph. Well done, bravo, loved it.
  5. This is an absolutely beautiful shot, amd the water buffalo is well and truly represented here. I hope you have success with saving another member of earths wildlife. Beautiful light, color, sharpness, moment in time.....thank you
  6. yes, a picture of contrasts. I think the under dressed athletes at the Asian Games certainly felt like they were in a different world, but variety is what makes us all pleasantly different from each other. Great shot of all three athletes, with their muscular legs; the white lane markers, the starting blocks and a stray drink bottle. Clean sharp image. Well done.

A girl, a black dress, heels and a lamp. I liked the sea and sand in the background and the girl, but the arm on the hip and the head turning to look behind or away from the camera distracted my eyes a little. Her best attributes are her legs but they are slightly under-used in my opinion, which is a waste really, because the legs should draw the eye downward to the fabulous shoes she is wearing. Everything, sort of starts in the middle with the hand on the lamp and the hip, as well as the line of the blue railing behind her and the sea and sand. I liked the setting though, and you could do a lot with this girl, the dress, the heels and the sand and sea. And I still like concept, for all my moaning. Was i moaning? ha ha.
  7. This bird has been caught with its under-tail feathers flashing like a beacon, against a black bodice and tail. A blue flash of hood and cape feathers add a splash of fleeting color, to grab the eyes of passers-by, and not necessarily those of the feathery kind. Great shot. Well done.

this is lovely photograph. the blue sky and sea, and white puffy clouds and sand are a perfect background for our group of camels. They are cute animals too. My arab friend said they are like a big cow, and the only danger is if they sit on you by mistake. haha. I loved this pic. your daughter will be amused i am sure.

this is gorgeous. i cannot quite explain why i say this, only that it has wonderful balance in light and shade and curved and straight lines. It seemed more like an architectural photograph, rather than that of a street. It could probably stand on its own merits without the pedestrian carrying the umbrella/bag in the background. the eye is drawn to the curves and lines easily.

so simple but so beautiful. dark rich colors in background help bring out the white and delicate yellow of the flower. A flash of green on the stem. everything is in perfect symmetry.

i liked the way the trees fall like a canopy over the head of the woman in the photograph, and the angle from where the pic is taken. The empty chair on one side and the woman sitting, seemingly lost in thought, on the other side. The black, grey and white shades give the photograph a sense of bleakness and solitude. The leaves and foreground add to the solitary nature of the photograph.
