Hi. I have an opportunity to purchase a Canon 16-35mm for $950. I am

contemplating on it or should I get the 17-55mm with IS for 30D. I shoot

landscapes and group pictures at natural light.I want to know from peopled who

had the chance to use it before. Your advice is appreciated....

Sorry for the lack of info. I take pictures of my family. I have a 1.5 year old daughter who loves to run around. They all wants to have pictures that includes a scenic background like the empire state bldg, niagara falls...... I am looking for an all around lens that can take good low light pictures. I currently have 50mm 1.4 and 70-200mm. Thanks

i just returned my tamron! It has focusing problems. Its sharp but i had AF problems.I am saving money for the canon 17-55 instead.

Hi I just took pictures in coney island and upon uploading it this afternoon I

noticed a dark spot on the top of my pictures. What is it? How do I send my

Canon 30d

Rebel T2

70-200 L

50mm 1.4

 

I am looking for an all around lens that I can use to take pictures of my

family on weekends. I was in NYC this weekend and I can't take pictures wide

enough to include the background that they liked.

 

sigma 30mm 1.4 or tamron 17-50mm or Sigma 24-70mm

 

I am considering sigma 30mm 1.4 because of the image quality and f stop. We

love taking pictures at night in NYC

 

Tamron because of the 17-50 range

 

Sigma 24-70mm because I can also use it in my rebel T2

 

 

I don't know it 30mm is wide enough on my 30d

if tamron is good enough

Hi everyone. I am happy with my Canon 30D and 50mm 1.4. I can't stop taking

pictures. Right now I am looking for a telephoto. I am leaning towards the

following lenses.

 

1. Canon 70-200mm f4 L

2. Sigma 70-200mm f2.8 EX HSM

3. Sigma 70-200mm f2.8 EX HSM DG type

4. Tokina 80-400mm

 

I just want to know the difference between the 4 lenses. I am after image

quality as always. I want to thank you again for your wonderful suggestions.

Hi! I live in here in nyc. You might need lens that will be good in taking Christmas decorations at night. Just go light because there is too many people in the city at this time of the year. Almost everybody want to go here to see the Rockefeller Tree, Radio City, Empire State, Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island....Enjoy

Is it true that Canon does not support the write speed of memory cards. I read it on Phil's article.

I finally received my Canon 30D and it a nice piece of camera. I feel more

comfortable with it than my Rebel T2. I am planning to buy canon 50mm f1.4

lens for low light pictures here in NY. What other accessories do I need for

my camera and lens?

 

a. filters UV or polarizer?

b. screen protector? i don't have any idea

c. do I need a hood for my lens?

d. camera bag?

Hi. I am here again. My 30D will be delivered monday. I just came from

Manhattan awhile ago using point and shoot and its not that good even with

flash. I am planning to go back anytime and shoot better pictures once my 30

arrives. Which lens is good for low light and for portraits. Zoom or primes.

And will Canon honor it for double rebates if I buy it separate or from

another retailer from my 30D. Thanks!

Now its getting complicated. Which should I buy? A used 20 for $800 from keh

or new 30D $1100 after rebate? Which is a better thing to do? Thank you very

Hi everyone. This is my first post so please bear with me.

 

I have a canon rebel T2 film camera. I have been using it with 28-90mm lens

for 3 years now. I am currently lookin to buy a Canon rebel XTi. I have heard

it is better thatn the 20D and I can't afford the 30d or 5D. I am serious with

this photography hobby. I want to have a whole system that I can build up bit

by bit. Which lens and accessories is good for shooting pics of my 2 year old

daughter. Third party is okay with me. Thanks!
