Felt weird having a camera in hand again. Figured since I wasn't crazy enough to ride in this one, I'd try to shoot it. Combine two passions. Maybe I've finally found my niche. ;-)

Good hearing from you my old friend!

I think I've become bored with "traditional" photography and perhaps this is whats causing my recent lack of interest. I may try more of this creativity and see if it catches on.

Always good to hear from you! Guess I can never get away from here permanently. I enjoy sharing my photos. Just need to make them more often. :-)

  1. I really appreciate the honest feedback.

Jeff, I understand your point about light and shadow and I do try to balance them realistically in my photography. To me, this image is a more accurate representation of the actual scene than film or single frame digital. Often, I see the opposite. Unrealistic scenes lit artificially, or selective lightening and darkening of the photograph in PP. There are more ways to create depth and to isolate a subject than just light or an overbearing vignette.

    Thanks for the comment!

  2. Another in my series on Mighty Mac. Despite my kids tugging on me to

leave....I really enjoyed getting a chance to shoot the bridge. I've

wanted to for a long time. Thanks so much for taking the time to view.

  3. Thanks so much for the kind words! To be more clear, this is a single frame tone mapped image. A multiple frame HDR treatment wasn't necessary due to the limited tonal range. So you are correct in that regard. As far as tone-mapping, I love the look of it and the details that come out. So that is a personal preference. Thanks for the comments!
