This IS photography. The title refrences us right into a narrative and suddenly this photograph becomes a portrait. Aesthetically, the colors of the chair and wall match nicely. Most obvious is the effect caused by the glancing shadow of the chair on the wall and its balanced relationship with the chair itself. The far right edge with the pipe or post is a nice touch, whether by intention or accident, it works. The more I look the more I am intrigued. It is a mysterious image. -
Actually this is a very entertaining idea. Do you still have the monitor frame? Consider making a series of similar images of different "Wallpapers". This puts the subject (flowers) on display, yet leaves them right in their natural context (some boring grass somewhere). Its simalar to having rolled out of bed, groggy and disoriented, finding yourself holding a microphone on stage before thousands of people. -
This is one of my favorite prints to have made. It is a gum bichromate print (a technique using layers of sensitized watercolor paint, exposed photographically)
