I used a heavy ND filter.

This looks like a hard scene to expose well, and you did a good job.
A couple things:
Without your blurb, I wouldn't know the buiding in the painting and the photo were the same one.
I don't see any expression on the painter.
Looks like it was shot from eye level and has a snap-shot quality.
The 'all rights reserved' in the middle is distracting and not needed (who's going steal it, really).
This is my opinion, and I'm no authority. Keep taking pictures.
