Thanks Geoff. That pretty much confirms my thoughts. I have seen a brush type cleaner and also Green Clean sticks here in the UK, so probably that's the way to go. I will clench my teeth and hope for the best on the first go! No doubt it becomes easier once having a bit of experience and method. Colin

I take alot of aviation photographs with my 10D. Recently, I have noticed that
dust spots (doughnuts) are becoming a problem especially on photos with a plain
grey or blue sky. Previously I have simply cloned them out after finding them
with "Equalise" in CS2.
There seem to be an increasing number of products which profess to solve the
problems (by methods simple or otherwise!).
I have already used the blower brush method, which has improved the situation,
but a number of determined spots remain.
Does anyone have any suggestions or experience (including disasters and
pitfalls!) about which products work best? Websites seem rather contradictory,
with no real conclusive evidence on many of them.
Thanks!
Colin

Thanks for your replies William and Ian. As suspected, it really IS a minefield!
Is my house crashing and burning covered on my camera equipment insurance I wonder!
Of course, I can simply wait until the arrival of the 40D which no doubt will have the new Canon sensor cleaning system (a la 400D), so then all our worries will be over! (what do you mean it doesn't work... shock horror!)
