1.
Dear all, a strange problem occured while loading my Rolleiflex 2.8E with Fuji 160C. While loading the camera with the film I did everything according to the manual - I passed the film through the taking rollers, fixed it in the take-in spool, closed the back door, and started winding the crank. The counter did not show the first frame, and I winded the film till the end. I have tried other Fuji 160C film and the problem repeated. After that I have loaded camera with FP4 - everything worked fine. An interesting detail - Fuji 400, Neopan and Ilford worked fine with my camera. Does anyone have an idea what can be the reason of such a fault. Thank you.

  2.
I have just bought wonderful Nikkor-S Auto 1:1.4 f=50mm.
The serial of the lens is 642176.
Could you please tell me if this lens could be mounted to Nikon FM2 without Ai modification.
Thanks for the answer.

  3. Yes the macro is set properly. Otherwise, it would be impossible to change focal distances.

The problem is that the lens is not in warranty and I live in Ukraine, so it would be rather difficult to service my vario-elmar in Leica. Hope I will repair the lens in Ukraine.

  4. Dear all. I`ve got R8 + 35-70/4 + 50/2 + 90/2.

Summicrons work well. Vario-Elmar also worked correctly. But some days ago

I`ve noticed that I can not focus this lens. If I stay at the distance of one

meter from the subject I have to focus the lens to infinity to see the sharp

picture. When I`m trying to shot a landscape from the window of my house -

everything is unsharp. May be somebody had such problems. Please advise what

shall I do. My friend, who repairs cameras told me that focusing ring/scale

might be disajusted. So, he proposed me to regulate it. However, I still

can`t beleive that such a thing could happen with almost new Leica glass.

  5. Hi, everybody.

I`ve recently obtained the russian variant of this panoramic camera.

But still I`ve got problems with counter. I don`t understand how it works and

    how can use it.

Could you please be so kind and give me some practical advises re using of the

camera, e.g. frame counter and simply framing `cause I still don`t understand

how far should the viewfinder frame be from my eyes.

    Thanks.

  6. Guys, big thanks for your interest in this topic. I was really surprized by the screw size of 41 mm, I rechecked another 39mm and 42mm and it`s really a 41 mm screw. I will post the picture of the lens later on today, `cause now I`m at the office. May be it could be a lens unscrewed from a fixed-lens camera??? I refreshed in memory that Maximum aperture is 32.
  7. Hi, everybody. Some days ago I obtained a CZ Jena Tessar T 2.8/80. firstlyI

thought that this is a portrait lens for 35mm camera (39 or 42 mm screw size),

that`s why I bought it. But at home I checked the screw size, it is 41 mm.

After that I decided to check focusing with a 35mm SLR. I`ve focused Tessar to

infinity and the screen of my SLR showed normal picture when the lens was

nearly 3-4 cm away from the camera. That`s why I made a conclusion that my

Tessar is probably designed to use with a MF camera. Please advise me on this

question. Some extra details, e.g. value of the lens, how I can use it, the

original camera for the lens will help me much. Thanks in advance. Dima
