maciej,
a really wonderful composition here, not to mention astounding aesthetic value. i do believe you have captured the soul of the situation. i hope you sat down and had a word with the man, too.

mark - kudos on a stunningly arresting portrait. i think you've hit the tri-fecta of artful composition, engaging subject, and the colors (and color balance) are spot on as well.

even though this was shown a while ago, and i rated it, it's worth a re-visit.
this, to me, is what photography's all about.

this is especially charismatic, rakesh - poignant metaphor.

besides being technically excellent, the composition is arresting in its simple aesthetic beauty. is that the sun peeking from top-left?

although i care little for nature shots in general, alexa, this one is particularly captivating. beautifully composed with a lot of depth (and depth-of-field), which is always the challenge in such scenes.
you perhaps did not plan for it, or notice it, but the tree motif is somewhat echoed in the clouds!

another stellar example of an inspiring and arresting image done naturally, rakesh. carry on! vikram.

ian - this is the technical calibre and visual sophistication of work i aspire to. carry on - vikram.

hi there alibek - quite an arresting composition this. frankly, i'm scratching my head figuring out how you did it :-)
carry on with the good eye for the unusual....

splendid portrait, rinolda, that too a non-posed one. i don't believe any part of anyone's body in any portrait *should* or *must* be in a certain way. they are how they are. unless it's a posed shot for a specific purpose, the way the person chooses to (be it unconsciously) present themselves ... that's what they are.

there is an almost surreal juxtaposition of colors, forms, shapes and patterns here. well observed, and beautifully captured. carry on - vikram.

rakesh - you continue to arrest the attention with simple compositions, artful lines, and a direct eye. carry on! :-) vikram.

this must be what they mean by a mood shot. fabulous. reminiscent of one of mine from some time ago (http://www.photo.net/photodb/photo?photo_id=5575546). carry on - vikram.

kaushik - yet another stellar example of your keen eye for the more-than-ordinary drama in the everyday banal. much respect. carry on - vikram.

hi there, rakesh - this one is particularly arresting, with the just-right pop of color. i'm once again amazed at the range of tones you achieve with a digital capture. beautifully arranged, and skillfully lit.

tanyo - i'm truly amazed at the beatiful colors in all your pictures from a digital camera! i had no idea the lumix was capable of this kind of tonal and color range. i thought it was slide film!
of course, your eye is also excellent - artful compositions, no doubt coming from your natural talent as a sculptor.

simple and effective composition - hallmarks of a great image!

an exemplary study in how less is, indeed, more.

truly captivating photographs, felix. in addition to the stunning technical qualities, i think you have an engaging rapport with subjects that comes full circle to make your pictures come alive. reminiscent of salgado and mccurry in my opinion.
carry on the great work - vikram.
