I think that it is not difficult for photo.net to disable the right click option and I can't understand why it has not been implemented already. I agree it won't completely solve the problem because of the print screen option but IMO it will deter at least some users from just easily right clicking the "save image as" which is fast, easy and much more tempting to do. There are actually some who would not put themselves into all that trouble of print screen, copy, paste, crop in photoshop for an image. If there was no value in this at all then why some other sites like onemodelplace have disabled right clicking? Are they unaware of the print screen option? I really can't explain this logic "we can't completely cure the patient so we may as well let him die...". Just some thoughts...

Can someone tell me how can I see the date that a photo was uploaded to my

portfolio? Thanks in advance for any help!

I submitted my photo on 22-11-2006.

Now it has 10 ratings and 5.5/5.3 score but when I try to find it using the

filter "Photos from Last 24 Hours Ranked by Average Rating" placed under the

documentary category it is not showing up. What is wrong?

Why when I give a rating of let's say 2/3 my rating does not appear on the

photo's ratings? Isn't that unfair sice when I give 7/6 the rating is included

right away?

On one hand it is true that the anonymity of the rating system can significantly distort an image score. Anonymous raters can judge maybe sometimes very hastily and give those 3s without thought. Whenever I give a 3 (I do not vote anonymously) I do it after a good thought. Furthermore if I finally do it I know that I have also the obligation to give a critique explaining that 3 etc.

On the other hand showing your name when you vote and giving 7s and 6s in order to receive complimentary votes back is something that I have witnessed as well. In this case I could see this evolving to something like cliques, networks of voters etc.

I think a good solution for this problem would be to keep the anonymous rating system but to put a limit to it in the same way there is a limit for the posting system. For example a member can get 4 or 10 or any other appropriate number of ratings per day. Then he/she would think twice before he used his ratings inappropriately. He/she would think "is that a really that bad photo? Should I waste a vote to give a 3 or a 2 here?".
