In my short time here I've noticed that average to poor photos hardly ever
(never) get any feedback, while the great photos get a lot of "really great
picture, love it, keep it up, wow" type comments.
Obviously, the average photographers are the ones who need the comments, and
they need specific, critical suggestions. Not generic "good photos" type comments.
Not sure exactly how to achieve this, but some type of a rating system for
reviewers, done automatically in software, could help. Post a critique of an
average rated (or unrated) picture (your charity work), get a gold star. Post a
critique of a highly rated picture, get a silver star.
Get enough points and you get recognition (senior reviewer), maybe extra peaks
like being able to post more pictures or something.
At any rate, I don't see the many obviously great and talented photographers
here helping out the merely good or average photographers that often. I think
you should give if you expect to receive . . .
