This photo shows up a lot whenever you post and I run into it when browsing the forums, I'm not sure why but I love it, thought I'd let you know.

Laura,  No flash, Yes there is a broken one at the bottom, cropping it out took away the meeting of fungus and moss in lower right corner, tried a few different exposures and slightly different compositions(limited options due to location) this one just looked best to my eye, there's also a small stick in the background that I missed, it amazes me that things like that escape my notice until editing, probably due to uncomfortable position(laying on belly on wet, rocky, steep ground with head lower than feet, live view helps but still uncomfortable). Enjoyed your fungus pics, a really different viewpoint.

Like the progression from frost to thawed and sunlit, maybe just a little more of the frame showing thawed leaves

I personally like these type of shots, tough exposure decision with the white water and dark rocks, good use of foreground object

To much, or to little DOF? subject movement was a problem, had to

shoot several times to get one that was good enough

Handheld with a 1.4x tc on an old 300mm super-tak, not all that sharp

and lots of CA but I was happy just to get some useable shots this way,

what do you think?
