Taking a class. Critiques appreciated.

It's a little too staged for me. And, the message I get is that she's sad. She may be sad, but wedding pictures should be convey happiness. If the bride liked it, who cares what I think.

This photo is so balanced. You really must have given it some thought. I really like it a lot. I wish I had your talent.

At first I wished I could see more detail in the horses, and, then, I realized that wasn't the point. And, when I realized that, I became aware of how original your shot is. I like it. I like it very much....

I don't find this lady to be gloomy at all. I think just the opposite, in fact. Her eyes show warmth. Her smile is welcoming. I think it is a good shot, and you named as you did to catch our attention. I like everything about this photo.

What a wonderful shot, and the title is so meaningful in today's world. We all need hope. It is easy to take a shot with no meaning, but this conveys such a sweet message. Thanks for sharing...

Your photo is very busy. If it were busy for a purpose, then I'd understand. I can't figure out what the message is suppose to be - the unattached light in the upper left, the half person in the middle right, the piece of equipment in the distance, the litter on the step. As for the quality of the black & white, it's very nice.
