D90 for 3 reasons;

LCD is far superior, ADR, latest generation sensor and internal image processing guts

Mine do not display either, just a red X in place of the image.

I noticed this too, didn't see it earlier:

Seems most if not all photo.net member images have been removed.

The 18-55 copy I have produces startlingly sharp images for such a budget lens. I bought one with my D80 as my first lens. It also focuses closer than most other kit lenses. I also have the 18-70 and I have to wonder whether I got a bad copy of the 18-70, side by side I think the 18-55 produces sharper images.

The build quality however is obviously not up to par. I doubt it would stand upto 'pro' use. What's odd is how much the center 'barrel' wobbles yet seems to unaffect images.

Bottom line; my copy is very sharp, but you have to ask how long will it last.
