<p>there is also a solution related to 1) which is to modify a 1.4x FD converter to EOS mount. It changes the 1.26x extension of the original Canon converter to 1.4x<br>

<p>wrt his rant about lens caps, I recall changing lenses one handed all the time, old and new mount alike... that includes detaching them, putting in bag, getting new one, removing cap and attaching to body...</p>

<p>Whatever you do, don't thouch that mirror! It is a very thin mirror that can easily get damaged when trying to "clean" it. If you don't plan to take pictures with it, just leave it as it is...</p>

<p>I agree, selling the parts will net you the most, don't sell the whole for parts, somebody else will buy it and resell the parts himself...<br>
