yeah you set yourself up here. i agree w/the first response. donot upload what you donot want to edit. i learned that the hard way. use lightroom to wb. the bride sounds like she is being nice at least. its never fun when someone out of the blue doesnt like our work, even when we bust our tails to get it done. but take it as a learning tool.

burn it or sell it on ebay...
-
i have one. im more interested in saving time in post. you cant do that effectively if you eyeballing every image that is off.
i can understand w/the arguement for not if you were still a jpg shooter, but if you are shooting raw one of the pillars of it correct wb.
the way around the manual focus, then focus is to change the custom function on 4 so you * is you focus point. so now its even easier as finding the light source & shooting..

you know i have this saying.
caviar (am i spelling that right) dreams on a tacobell budget.

burn the dress. use a polarizer next time, or stop down a bit. hope you shot it in raw. lightroom might save you. love the mood the shot leaves me w/.

well find out how many people sold thiers also. the ls is not good for your flash head. it stresses the head. i sold mine, bought a rrs flashbracket, & an omnibounce. has a clean look to it. dont have to worry about the breaking my flashead. i hate fongdongs for that.

i was going to go w/the microsync b/c they look great. small & tiny. but i went w/the pocket wizard plus 2, b/c its compatible w/the l-358 w/accessory radio transmitter. i could fire everything from the flash meter.
-
im digesting that link now. thanks alot! it helps that the authour used a l-358. the fundamentals also really helped shed alot of light on 45 degree lighting. ill be toying w/this this week.

i do a two way process.
a extra large giotto blower, & a visible dust artic butterfly.
a definite no to compressed air in the can. it will ruin your sensor.

thanks for getting back to me. im going to try this this week. ill use my wife, that way she cant complain too much about the time spent. :>
im excited b/c all this really forces me to use my head.
from the flash meter i gain my fstop setting.
id like to kick this question around.
alot of what ive read tell me to set up the fill, then the keylighting, & finally the hairlight.
so when you bring all the lights together. alot of what ive read has one meter at a certain fstop, & the others 1 1/2 stops or more lower. how do you do that? i think i do that by changing the power of the fill & the power of the strobe. i this correct?

i like zook. for the zook book it looks great. i like zook binders also for thier matted album. they do everything. all i gotta do is set up the order.
-
i just sent off an order for a matted zook book. there is no software yet. work w/some one when you are finaling your order. it gets cumbersome.

hey there everyone. im doing my hw right now. let me laydown my situation.
i have 3 alienbees all 400, a large softbox, a giant softbox & a boom & 20degree
honeycomb.
i bought a l-358 sekonic w/the optional radio transmitter
i bought 2 pocketwizard plus 2.
i have a 5d.
could someone walk me through start to finish process of what i do in using the
meter & adjusting the lights.
ive been reading alot of books from barnes & nobles. & studying forums but im
not getting it all. what would you do?
thanks for reading & hope to hear from you
Strobes a "must" for ceremony/formals??

w/strobes you can do lower iso (no noise)better fstop (better dfov) and have excellent worry free lighting. it helps in post processing also, b/c your adjustments will more than likely be very little.
it did cost me some. the lights are alienbees i have 3, but i just bring one for for the formals. the external power source also cost you. best advice i can give you, is build your own. the flashmeter will cost you. i so recommend sekonics w/the radio transmitter, & pocketwizards.
what im thinking about trying out next is setting up 2 strobes in the reception area... has anyone tried that w/success?
