I think this is a lovely photo. The lighting makes it really rich and interesting, and the composition, to my eye, is just exactly right.

I love flower photography, but it often lacks a sense of design.
Let me know what you think of this attempt to infuse a strong sense
of design into nature's randomness.

A pleasant photo, but the dark triangle in the upper left corner is distracting to my eye and puts too much "place" into an otherwise "the idea of ice cream" photo.

Looks great.... two minor suggestions. My eye "wants" to see a stem of some kind to keep the flower from 'foating in space.' Then, since digital allows us to pursue perfection that doesn't really exist, I'd be tempted to clone out the imperfections in the petal that is on the lower left portion of the flower. Both of these suggestions are only my perferences, though.

What a wonderful photo. I too, like the red hue, it is interesting w/o being "tricky" or "too much." I have to admit, though, that I'd also love to see it in a B&W version. Very nice work.
