extremely evocative..mysterious and great tonal feel.

superior compostion and light. A great image. I love when cool tones are contrasted with warm tones like this. It appeals to the human heart. Now if only some tiny human figure had walked down into the lower warm tones of the street for scale.

I don't always like the subject in the center of the frame but this time it works great. It helps having the horizon line low in the frame. It allows him to dominate the frame as well as his world.
nice!

I love the depth of tones in this, the architectural quality of her form, hand positions and downward glance. I also liked the hint of detail in the backdrop. Almost looks like an alabaster statue

Playing in one-time home club Antone's in Austin with his original band the Fabulous
Thunderbirds. Jimmy, brother of Stevie Ray Vaughan, has an amazing smooth style steeped in
the vintage sounds of fellow Texan TBone Walker and Slim Harpo.

Blues guitar great Jimmy Vaughan adjusts his guitar strings as lead singer/harp player Kim
Wilson enjoys a smoke backstage in Austin Texas before a perfomance of the Fabulous
Thunderbirds.

48 hours after minor eye surgery this week i decided to do a self-portrait. I just aimed the
macro lens back into my eye as I looked into late afternoon sun and got this one sharp.
I'm looking forward to seeing better.

Chubby Checker performs in a small club in Texas in 1979. Small but adoring crowd and a
great show.

more old scans from the past. Found a couple of the old rock hippie himself, this one as he
gets up from his keyboards. A strange concert. He played only a song or two in an old
gymnasium before there was a bomb threat. Since there were only 50 people there, everyone
believed he had someone call it in so he didn't have to play.

From my 'way back' machine, this is from my college days. Sha Na Na, mostly forgotten now,
was a fun retro band and great fun live.

Fats Domino is finally getting the respect he deserves, even if it is because of the hardships
he's been through as a Hurricane Katrina survivor. This shot is from a concert in l982.
Slowly adding more concerts from the past to my portfolio again.

Amazing that I recognized him as I walked along the sidewalk in Miami Beach. Cab Callaway,
who recently passed away, was sitting there parked and smiling. I just took a couple quick
shots and left, not wanting to bother him. But then, he hardly looks bothered. He was smiling
and seemingly having a great time.
