Thank you for the complement. I think the overexposed light works too. I know it is sort of sacrosanct to have nothing in a photo overexposed, but sometimes I think it evokes something necessary to the photograph. I like it in this one at any rate. I'm glad to know somebody agrees.

There is something very ominous about this. I like it; good texture, good contrast, very moody. Well done.

I too like the angle and her expression is very appropriate. Nice shot.

The color manipulation was meant to evoke a sort of classic Hollywood

glamour-type effect, though the shot was not taken with that intent.

Not sure if I pulled it off, but I would love any comments or suggestions.

...that someone can rate this photo a 7 and another can rate it a 3. My opinion is that if you are going to rate a photo a 3, you should be obligated to leave a comment/critique as to why.

I really like the angle and the composition on this one. It looks to me like come pretty creative portraiture. Nicely done.

Besides, the picture has a "long" look to me so I was thinking a more head-and-shoulders cropping would be in order anyway...

I think the background is indeed a bit distracting...I knew there was something about this that wasn't working. I think the background together with her shirt is too busy. One or the other should have been simplified.

I just realized, I have another photo of her I titled "Anticipation"...oh well...I guess I'll just stick with "Untitled"...it's probably better than forcing the issue.

How about "Anticipation"? She was, after all, waiting for me to tell her to "smile big for the camera"...
