the moment I saw this photo I knew exactly where it was taken. And then I saw you're picture of a DH Beaver taking off that was from Rust's Flying service and that just confirmed it for me.
I Spent a summer working at Big River Lakes as a bear guide/fishing guide and I loved it there. I got some good shots but it kinda got old shooting the same bears at the same exact spot all the time.
Nice shot, makes me miss that place

I spent more than a few years in Alaska as a tour guide taking people to see bears in the bush and I have to say I just adore this photo. Your subject has such a curious human like expression on it's face that we all can relate to.
You captured a great moment!

The symmetry of the wings alone would have made this a great photo. But you also had perfect timing on the trout being pulled from the water as it was rising to feed on a hatch. And to top it all off both the droplets of water and the eyes add to what is already a near pefect shot.
I doubt there is not a photographer alive that would not have been proud to say this was taken by him or her. I for one would have.. Well lets just leave it at that shall we? lol.
Great shot!

Christian, great shot of Mona. I spent a summer working at Redoubt Bay Lodge and I really enjoyed seeing this bear on a daily basis.
She sure was a show girl.
