I am using a wide range of MF glasses with adapter sucessfully on different cameras, incl. with LiveView even on my Canon 5DII. I don't miss no AF nor automatics etc. and this has saved me a lot of money.

Hi Ray, you're saying here, that the Leica S2 is perfect for using a collection of other brand glasses. With the PENTAX 645D it is possible, to use the wide range of the excellent Pentax 645 and Pentax 67 lenses, even with much more favorable prices.

If prestige is important, take the LEICA S2, if a tool ist needed, take the solid PENTAX 645 D and save a lot of money!

Hi Valentin, I hope, you've not picked an black market junker, because this sensitive mirror lens was often in use with DDR military border patrols, and they cared less in using a lens of this focal length. To my knowledge, an good reviewed version costs much more.

I guess, the Fujihasselblad adapter has the databus for automatic use of the Fuji glasses on the Leica S2 camera.

Bengt, you're right, this is really the case, as an pro photographer, you must show and have always the better tools! But the problem is, these noble amateurs have mostly more cash!

-

Q.G. de Bakker, you're right, for to opening an bakery, it needs more cash or credit! But I guess, this is not a good example! There are in these days so many photographers, fighting for each jobs, like dogs for an little bone splitter! I know it, from a good old friend of mine!

This stuff is way too expensive, who in the hell can afford it, regardless whether Habla, Mami, POne, Pent or L-S2! Have I forget one? Most pros, or noble amateurs, must turn the nickel twice at these days, before spending!

-

Who is paying for the high development costs of a new camera system and glasses, I guess, Hasselblad can't afford it anymore!

If you project your 6x7 slides with an GOETSCHMANN 6x7 slide projector on an very large screen, and the same digital images with an very good beamer, I know already for sure, who will be the champion in this competition!

Robin, the glass is absolutely not a monster, it is not as large, nor as heavy people might think! Its a very well and highly precise made tool, and therefore can not be cheap. Its made for photographers who need this SWA. AF is absolutely not required for this lens!

At earlier times, excellent glasses for Leica-M came also from Zeiss Jena, and today from Zeiss/Cosina at Nagano/Japan! So what!
