Maybe you could give a little background on what is going on in the shot. I guess this is a photojournalistic type shot but without knowing what these guys are up to, it is quite hard put this photo (and its relative qualities) in context.

Nice colours in this shot. I would maybe crop out the very dark patches on the left of the shot, I find them a little distracting. Good shot.

A mimic of parts of the lunar cycle with lots of cropping, re-sizing
and other photoshop stuff. The idea was courtesy of D. Munteanu ,

I think this is excellent as it is but after trying to find something to change....maybe try cropping out the row of buildings on the right of the laneway. I don't think they add anything. I stuck a piece of card up against the screen to simulate and I think it increases the impression of the courage pub pulling away from its row of buildings. I could be totally wrong though.

Nicely done. The composition works well in my eyes. I would give those black keys a good dust down, or do a bit of cleaning up in photoshop, though.

I think this is nicely done - I'm no expert either, but having walked up to the top of this hill myself, the temptation is to zoom in on lady liberty herself at the expense of the other statues. I think you have approached this with a good and different viewpoint. T

Thanks for taking the time to comment on this one. I recently bought a close up filter set for my 50mm lens and I am beginning to dabble in the whole macr / flower photography end of things. I plan to get a 100mm macro lens when I've scraped the cash together. This photo is as I framed in camera, but I did adjust the exposure on the heavy side and having had a look at your (much superior) photo you're spot on that it should be a bit lighter. I've posted a slightly tweaked version of the same photo - http://www.photo.net/photodb/photo?photo_id=5418605 - have a look if you get a moment. I also blotted out the blemish in the top right, which I really should have done originally. Thanks again.
