Actually the detail is there in the top left corner. I deliberately have blown it out. I actually find that small amounts of blown out areas gives some photo the punch they need.

Thanks for your critques though, much appreciated.

  1. Ya I know its bad he is some ones pet. But, at least he is in really good hands. The owner is the head curator for the Royal BC Museum. He is a specialist in reptiles and amphibians... Actually from what I here, he is the go to guy for North America.

Thanks a lot for your comments, really appreciated.

  2. They are both stunning, but this has such a great depth of field. The sedimentary rock running away from the camera emphasizes the depth of field which is just awesome.

    Great photo.

Where abouts are you located. Where I live there are some great rock formations just like this one. Victoria BC.

  3. Looking at the larger file it is way to clear that this has been heavly photoshopped.

Sorry I just don't like things that have photoshop written all over them.

The geese would have been darker, the horizon where the pole is has been smudged, and the left edge of the tree has been cloned... geese legs look weird on the ground...

    Im sorry.

    Not for me.
