A simple shot, inspired by this season...

Not intended as a macro or even so much of a close-up, this shot

presented itself rather unexpectedly (and was not very thought

through). I was looking around this old building because I wanted to

capture the weathered feeling of it, the fly seemed to accentuate just

that.

 

I think the central placement of the fly might not be the best and

therefore a slight crop might be in order. Any critiques or comments?

Great shot... though I have to say I've got a weak for reflections... Not easy to pull off considering the light conditions... and I like the diagonals...

 

I do wonder though if the central placement of the moon is the way to go...

Though it has been a million times before, here's my version of the

'classic' red rose... what do you think?

I like the general feel and composition of the picture, but perhaps the flowers are slightly burned at the top. How about using a different colour backgroud to make the flowers stand out better and accentuate their shape? Lighting also needs to be a bit more even (prevent burning!) in order to preserve the delicate nature of these flowers...
