  1. What about this? I've used my Nikon sb-28 on my RD-1. (We differ in that I can get immediate feedback on what I shoot) I saw that the sb-26 has an "automatic" mode. When using my sb-28, right after I turn the flash unit on, I set the iso to match the setting on the camera. Then tell the flash what lens (35mm, 50mm, etc.) I'm using.Set the mode on the flash to "automatic" Then set the aperture on the flash. On the camera I set the speed as 1/60. I'll usually either dial the power back on the flash a stop or so just to keep it from blowing things out.
