i bought a Aiptek 1200U, after looking at the specs and comparing the price to wacoms. wen i bought it, it worked fine and it seemed to be a good choice, but i left it alone for a couple months and now i doesnt seem to work too good. it seems to take a while to 'wake up' when i first wave the pen around above it. (basically, when i pick up the pen to use it on the tablet (just after using a mouse) the cursor doesnt move for a couple seconds at first, its like it takes a while to start recognising that i am using the tablet now and not the mouse)...

also the nib also wears down quick (although i hav no means of comparison), and i think its too short now to recognise the pressures properly, because i seem to have press harder than i used to. but the problems with the pen may be down to the fact that i tried to change the nib, and i didnt quite succeed. and the tampering may have damaged it...

this also may be the reason why the 'right-click' doesnt work anymore - which is anoying...

if i had the money and i was going to buy another one, i would buy a wacom because the quality would really make a difference...

...especially because of the initial 'wake-up' period that my tablet has seemed to hav aquired.

p.s. - if anyone knows how to change the nib of a Aiptek pen could you please email me, because it would help alot...
