1.
I just bought a used Pentax 67II. The seller didn't have any batteries in it, and the buy was done in quite a hurry (because of me) so I couldn't test the camera before the buy(!).
Not until later on that day, I got the 3V-batteries required, and almost everything worked just fine. The light meter works just fine, I can change the ISO. But I cannot make any exposures. The mirror will not go up. The wind lever is "stuck" as if a frame was winded and the camera is ready to take an exposure. I can flip the wind lever a bit, just as it should when ready to shoot...
But when pressing the shutter button, nothing happens. Just as if the camera was put on L (lock). Doesn't matter if I put it on or delayed shutter. The Mirror Up-flick is also dead.
The batteries are brand new out of the package, and since the electronics work (light meter and ISO-display) they should be ok?
I have called the seller that is as chocked as I since he used the camera last night with no problems. He offered me to come home to him and try it with the batteries he used, but I will not have the time for that in almost a week.
I will not be able to get out and get a set of new batteries in a couple of days, so I thought I would give it a try here first. Who knows, there might be a very simple solution to this? It feels like one of those situations... (like, take a nail and press this and that switch and KABLUNK! - its working again)
I do not have any film in the camera since its not possible to wind the lever...
