  1. Hi Mike, thanks for the Rollei info. It sure looks complicated for such a minor problem, I'll just have to live with it for the time being. A couple of nights ago I did some prints of some rain drops on leafs in my garden, I'm still stunned at the sharpness of the Planar, it's simply outstanding!
  2. Thanks for everyone's response. I also tried a Bronica S2a which suppose to have better gears, but it certainly isn't as refined as the S model. The S has a smoother wind-on and quieter shutter, it doesn't have the focusing screen foam problem, and the focusing is comfortably situated around the wind-on crank so all the major controls like focusing, wind-on and shutter release are together on the right. It's a shame Bronica messed up on the gears as it's a really nice camera.
  3. I recently bought a Bronica S as I found it's controls laid out perfectly for

me, It's also a great looking camera. I've heard a lot of people say they're

really unreliable, but mine is working perfectly and it's never had a service

in it's life. Has anyone out there got a Bronica S which has daily use and

never had a problem or service.

  4. I've been shooting with Hasselblad for a while, that was until I borrowed a

Rolleiflex SL66. I was so impressed with the Rollei I sold my Hassy kit and

bought one of my own. The Rollei's mirror and shutter gives virtually no

mirror/shutter kick, unlike the hassy which almost jumps out of my hands when

firing the shutter. With the Rollei's combination of tilt mechanism and quieter

shutter/mirror my print are noticeably sharper. I've also got some large format

lenses which I would like to use, does anyone know of some kind of adaptor

which would let me mount other lenses on my Rollei.
