I stand by my rating methods, but I hear you.  No hard feelings?

I rate photos, not people, I dont look at the names.  if I give you 4 thats average, 5 in slightly above.  mostly it's cuz I can only see so many photos of a waterfall or hills and it's just the same thing.  I rate with originality in mind as well, I hardly ever give out 7's.  I believe some people rate high so that others will rate their work high in return.  You can spend 3 weeks working on a photo or 3 minutes, in the end it's the finished photo that I'm rating, not the time that went into it. 

Zsolt:  looking at your portfolio I dont see any I would have rated that low, but frankly I dont put much thought into what mine get rated.  Occasionally due to a glitch I press the "1" rating when I'm going or something else, but other than that it's opinion.  I have to say though the mark of a professional and secure person is to not need the approval of everyone and just because you believe your work deserves better, doesnt mean everyone feels the same way.  But "revenge" attacks on someone elses work is quite unprofessional. 

nice composition, the only thing is she is a little dark and lighting very flat.
