Have you tried using extention tubes?

Great question, my 80-200 looks exactly like that too. I can't wait to see the solution!

I only watermark my proofs, never the final product delivered to the client.
-

The ML-L3 will work on your D7100 as well as your D70.

-

Your lenses are too slow for using teleconverters unless your shooting f8 in bright sunshine, autofocus will be difficult in anything but the brightest light.

I not only use rimless glasses, but I'm also left eye dominate. My only issue is my nose sometimes hits the focus selector and moves it on me!

My SB-600 will for some reason not fire with NiHM batteries either, I switched to alkaline batteries and it works perfectly.

Look around for the recently discontinued 35-70, prices may be attractive

I found this photo in a email from a friend, the image is amazing, it's actually a lot of images combined.
http://gigapan.org/viewGigapanFullscreen.php?auth=033ef14483ee899496648c2b4b06233c

The SB-600 will go into "sleep" mode after not firing for 3 or 4 minutes. Are you using recharable batteries? My SB-600 doesn't work with them, when I switched to alkaline batteries it works great. Make sure you put in new and matched batteries. I'd try that before sending it back.

For the money you can find a 35-70 selling cheap, it has a push pull zoom and it's a very sharp lens.

just crop

I also agree the Nikon 35-70 f2.8 is a winner! On sale for $550!

I use a Sandisk Extreme III 8GB in my D70s with never ever a problem.

The 80-200 is a great lens, but a tank to lug around. For traveling I'd go with a NIkon 18-200 with VR. it's a perfect travel lens, light weight, sharp and a great range of focal distances, for less of a cost too!

I agree with Micheal, the D300 replaced both the D200 and the D80(A D200 stuffed into a D70 body)

Looking at your photo it appears to also be slightly out of focus, your auto focus looks to be set at (closest). The photo looks to be focused on her left shoulder and not her eyes.

You can get a 35-70 f2.8D for a good price if you can still find one.

Nikon 35-70mm 2.8, the lens is selling cheap now too.

I re-format my memory card after every download.

I agree with the gang, Tokina 12-24mm, I love mine.
