A very striking and arresting image. The only minor distraction (for me) is the visibility of those few strands of har at the forehead.

 

Can you share the technique you used?

Wonderful photo. I envy your being able to photograph in this location. One suggestion - Use of a 2-stop graduated neutral density filter would help even out the exposure to allow you to keep some detail in the clouds.

I couldn't tell if you were trying for the slight blurring of the image or not. I like the light on the spectators.

I especially like the sweep of the line of the foam. For me it brings the elements of sand, rock, horizon together very well.

re: the crop comments - I like your original composition as it adds to the feeling of the distances involved in the scene. The light is great and you've captured the entire setting very well. I'll use your shots as inspiration as I plan a trip to the Big Bend sometime soon.
