  1. I had two Red Tailed hawks growing up. This is an instinctive behavior to mantle their kill as shown above. When their in tall dry grass it also serves as camouflage, I've literally walked passed my bird when she was on the ground. Excellent shot!
  2. This is my favorite Bird of Prey, excellent job on stopping the action and capturing the detail in the feathers. I love the detail of the head and eye you can tell she's sighting in on either a place to land or she's about to take something down. Love it!!!

I like the shot composition, love the details in the sky. I don't care for the dark green water, the facial features especially around the eyes are quite dark. I really like the artistic feel I get with this shot. I feel for you as I know how difficult it would be to get shadows out of the facial features, unless you had a light stick about 12 feet long and someone able to hold it out there.

    Overall I really like it:)

Excellent shot, I do like the crop work that was suggested. Overall I'd put this on a wall that everyone could see.
I have two questions, who much time did you put into Post Processing? How much Post processing was used to get this shot to where you liked it? In other words what would the before and after look like?
    All the best to you,

I really like this, I really like the geometry of the pipes and the dimension (DoF). The lighting and shades of grey really set this off in my opinion, I just like looking at it:-) I just have one question, how long did it take you push all those pipes in to position like that? Some folks will do anything to get the shot;-) Great work!

    Regards,

    Richard
