Well not being an expert at shooting rainbows I happen to depend all on the lighting of the backround. I live in Connecticut and do not really get that many rainbows but when I shot my first one I was in the back seat of a moving car. What i did was just turn the flash off shoot quickly and see in the viewer if you like it or not, and then try shooting one or two using your flash and find out which one of them that you might like better.
