  1. Hello all,

I read many people speaking good things about Fuji 6x7 or 6x9 cameras but would be reasonable to most of us the huge size of these cameras compared to 4x6 rangefinders. I use Fuji 645 GAi and would never consider exchange it for one of those enormous 6x7 or 6x9 cameras.

  2. No problems with asa settings. Use it at 100 or less or more, like 200 and we will like very much the final result even with no print corrections in a Fuji frontier lab. The differences are very subtle. More shadow detail with less asa and more contrast with more asa.

Fabulous film but not available in the States! Buy it by mail if you live there.

  3. I use Reala for several years now in 135 and 4,5x6 formats and I must say it's simply the bets film available if what you want is no grain and excellent natural colour reproduction and also large exposure latitude. A must!

Now about superia and CS it is very difficult to say if they are or not the same because I use several nikkor lenses and Fuji 645i so same differences in prints may be because of different lenses colour renditions. Anyway I am always very satisfied in both cases.

You can not be wrong with both films except perhaps in winter grey days.

  4. Hi,

First one should make some financial calculations and see if a new scanner, like this Epson 2450, is a viable proposition versus making prints in a e.g. Fuji Frontier digital Lab available in most towns around the world.

Of course you loose some control but quality is guaranteed.

Try to estimate the cost of: scanner(during some 4/5 years)+premium plus photo paper+inkjet cartridges(expensive!!)+ Printer cost (over some 4/5 years)+ electricity + your own time + some part of your PC's cost during 3/4 years per print (we will sometimes have to make more than one print to obtain a good result).

Then ask a Fuji Frontier dealer the price of the print sizes you like/need and compare with the price per print with your own scanner.

    Have a good time.
