Well I bought a D100 knowing that I will get a D200 and later add a D300 - they all accept Compact Flash. A D80 (I believe) does not accept compact flash and I was not about to buy MORE cards as I already have 4 CF cards. Keep it in mind.
Buy expensive glass not expensive bodies.

I have a D100 right now and if I add a D200 or a D300 later will the batteries all match inside the grips.. etc Any
compatibility issues. Is this a good way to upgrade by adding camera bodies this way - I know I don't want a d80 or
something that does not accept Compact Flash.
thanks in advance..

Well I am a little lost - I just got my D100 last night and what mode do you suggest I shoot in?
I srgb
II AdobeRGB
III sRGB
(I take it the III sRGB is for landscapes.)

Well if I had a D300 I would stick with it and spend my money on glass not more expensive camera bodies. My next body I will add is the D200 to compliment my D100...

I just bought a D100 last night and will get the D200 as well.. - I would not buy the D80 - correct me if I am wrong but I do not believe that the D80 accepts compact flash and since I have a few cards around.. I would only buy cameras that accept CF. Keep it in mind when you buy something is the storage media going to be compatible in the future. Fuji's XD did not go very far.

Well I had a MZ2 which is not that different and used it on my D30 and D60 and had no problems. I cannot tell you which adapter I had underneath but I can share with you something that I did find odd - but great. I used the dedicated adapter and always got excellent exposures. In fact I am looking to buy one right now for my Nikon D100. Anyway - what I find surprising is that when I used the Flash on it's own auto mode and standard adapter instead of the dedicated adapter and TTL I could never tell a difference in the two images. We did extensive testing on this in the studio and at events. So.. that means to me that it was so accurate using it's own sensor and standard adapter that I put that flash on top my Bronica ETRSi, my dinky Minolta 110 Zoom SLR (rare) and other camera we had at the studio. Exposures were always great. I shot with that D60 and that Metz for years.. I wish I never sold it. My point is that maybe all this d-ttl and all this other ttl might be overrated when the combo I had worked for years.
Now if you are looking for wireless ttl and such - that is different and agree that the later dedicated flashes are better (I have used them too)

Willing is meant that he wants to give them to me and his wife is also willing to give me those rights - no challenge will be
met. I just wondered what would be needed as paperwork to complete the transfer.

Thanks guys.. looks like a job for the notary or lawyer - and maybe a bit difficult as he may not becoming out of the
hospital. Any images that do not have a release will not be used in a stock photo agency anyway. Many of his shots are in
China and impossible to get a release from a 'peasant' there - so they maybe an issue as well, I live in Canada so the
rights prob won't be too diff from the usa.

Hi All
I am a professional photographer and my Mentor is dying in a hospital and be fore he goes he is 'willing' me all of his photographs of which
I intend to put into a stock photography house. What paperwork do we need so that I will gain all the rights to the images?
Thanks in advance.

the amount of light reaching the eye of a photographer using the EOS-1n RS is approximately half (actually -0.85 stop) less than when using the EOS-1N
It is NOT 1 plus stops.

*6 When the Canon Speedlite 480EG is used for automatic flash photography, increase the normal aperture setting by 2/3 stop or decrease the 480EGs ISO setting by 2/3 EV (open up) to compensate for the reduced amount of light reaching the film due to the pellicle mirror.
*8 When using a handheld exposure meter to set the exposure manually, set an exposure compensation of +2/3 EV or set the handheld meters ISO setting to 2/3 EV less than the normal ISO. This is to compensate for the reduced amount of light reaching the film due to the pellicle mirror.

Just wondering where you would recommend buying an exteneded cable
firewire 6pin to 6pin. I would prefer 15 to 25 feet and then
extending that(when needed) so I can use my Canon 1d and capture
directly to the computer.

I'm just wondering if someone can help me. I am setting up a stock
photo library and need help in creating the site. Since it is a
database driven site I need to know if anyone has done this. Please
contact me. ( I have approx five photographers wanting to
participate - online images - as well )

I am curious to know what flashes people use on the Etrs with the
Speedgrip E. I am not interested in TTL. I am not interested in
using a Stroboframe.. just a flash on the grip. Any suggestions?
(looked at other posts about the 283 but unsure if it has it's own
sensor to shut off the flash like a Metz 40)

Well I wish that they would accept 48mb tif's or above and make the whole process easier. This upresing and then trying to make a 48mb jpg is ridiculous. I just bought a Epson V700 and I can make some great images. By the time it becomes a big jpg it is 1/5th the quality..
If someone has been successful can you share with us how 'exactly' you are preparing them.. thanks
