1. I just look at my photos after many years, and realised the albums are gone. I stopped upoading after I was prevented from uploading without commenting. Some people are better at commenting and has more experience and words than me. I hope albums option returns. I changed my profile pic to this photo I enjoyed making.......have a good 2023 to all.

Subject: Why there is a bad copy when you are paying good ?

My thoughts too, something crossing my mind was maybe dealer was not selling a really unused EQPT to me ?

I had a bad 70-200IS-I, not sharp, replaced, problem solved.(Played 3 months with it,thought it was my fault).
I had a 1DMKIV not fucussing in late afternoon sun, green subject against blue sky, it, was extremely slow focussing. Replaced, super fast.(Played for it with a week, tried everything I could think of).
I have a simple rule I follow buying new EQPT(In fact anything). If I start to fiddle and fiddle and fiddle more, I most certainly has a piece of faulty EQPT on hands. When replaced it is usually quickly confirmed, and episode forgotten. Then I start batteling with myself.

  3.
1-I want to post a main picture of a Calf saved at birth.
2-Immediately after that, in the comments phase below main pic, I want to add subsequent pics with descriptions, pics of a smaller size, less than 100Kb as I understand.
3-When this had been uploaded, only then I want to present it for comments. So I don't want comments mixed in while I am uploading the pics, about another 6 of them.
4-So if a viewer had looked at the complete story, he/she can comment.I feel adding the pics below main pic in same post will give a better experience than a slideshow of separate pics.
I don't want comments on separate pics, but rather on the whole experience.

What I experienced:After loading the main pic, I added the 2nd pc, called step-1.It looks like it gets uploaded, but instead of showing the pic, I see a cross. What is causing the cross?
I get the cross if pic is uploaded with comment beneath main pic, or if I refer to a link of same pic in photo-Net or Photo-Bucket.I always sees a cross.

  4.
Windows-7 IE-8
I want to post a main photo as a documentary. After that I want add maybe another 6x smaller photos beneath main photo to illustrate what happens. Using the critigue option on myself I want to add these with steps/descriptions. As the window coming up says I 1st load a test photo to this site and to Photo Bucket 85Kb, They load, but neither from any site wants to display, hows a cross.
The idea is to load a main photo with a short string of happenings/with desriptions and only then present this for comments/critigue.
What is causing this, or is it just not possible. The reason is, I want immediate continuity beneath same photo, and not the whole episode illustrated with a slide show or separate photos.
Thanks
Chris
It also happens in this tread:

  5.
"What I'm interested in is people that have shot motorsports or any other high speed sports with the non IS 70-200 2.8 and/or the IS F/4 70-200. I'm curious about how much more accurate the auto focus becomes with the center focal point being more sensitive with 2.8 lenses."

Richard, I basicly understand it as follows. The F-Stop is not important when panning, because I usually use 1/500-1/100 cars, 1/100-1/60 helicopters to make the turning stuff turn. We are lucky that as the camera increases the F-Stop to compensate for correct exposure due to fixed 1/x -speed, the background blurr nicely falls into place, so a DOF choice is of no matter.
As for the sensitivity at 2.8 I understand it as follows. The type of camera playes a major role here, for example on the same lens of F2.8 , cameras will focus better as their classification goes up, considering an Amature Camera compared to a semi-professional camera, compared with a professional cameras. In my case the 30D/40D was a big jump at 2.8 from the 350D.I'm not sure if current amature cameras(Latest) has become better in this particular respect.

  6. Thanks for replies, I did found some facts about 30D.

Some 30D's has been sold with a glued on Low Pass Filter, while others have a loose filter.....

If filter is scratched, it can be replaced, and if it is glued to sensor, Canon pay for the sensor replacement as there cannot be expected from buyer to pay seeing he or even the shop did not know about it at point of sale.

  7. I have tried the same, must say it's easier said than done.

Maybe consider afternoon sun and a black background to give a rich reflection in bubble...I think the substance inside, the fuid, also playes a role...Some fluid may not leave you with rich reflections.I used a 2.8 70-200IS lens and just made it with the focus speed.

Another thing to consider is the colour of your background, although I said black, another colour complementing to fit in with what you want to do with the bubbles afterwards to blend in easier, or if just a bubbles photo try different bkackground colours.
