whatever works

I'm working on getting a career started in photography as well. I keep showing people my pictures. Keep thinking about how they could be better. Trying new things. And as a result of doing that I've become more sure of myself (Because of alot better results since I've started.) And once you get sure of what you're selling, then it's all about convincing other people that you're capable. There are plenty of incredible photographers who I am blown away by, but if you want a business it's really almost disgusting how broad the quality range is for "professional photographers," who charge incredible ammounts of money for product that sometimes looks like they don't care at all about what they do.

But I'm just spilling the little experience I've had...opinion. Heh.

Hey Jason. I've been looking at the same Alien Bees kit. A friend who's going to school for photography agreed with my idea of upping the one light to an 800W, to use that as a main, and the 400 as a slave. It's only another $55 U.S to add the extra wattage.

I'm pretty ignorant on this topic, so any thoughts from you would be appreciated as well. I'm still working on saving the money for my purchase, and I want to make the right one. Even if you have already bought a kit, if you would let me know how it's treating you I'd be real greatful.
