your 100% right. we have no disagreement. i have a series of most of my photos the reason i don't put it here is the loading time of PN still quit slow so i just put sample of variety images for each photo category. cause most viewer here are different from each other i always want them to find right away something interest them. subject with same interest. i notice browsing portfolio with 500 plus great photos inside takes viewer sometime, some get bored waiting for all the images to be loaded.it affect turn over of viewer become more counter productive. just my experience Andrei. thanks again for the interesting feedback. best regards DSC.

agree with your observation. subject with very fine details is quite a challenge calibrating whether it will meet the three different display size. these are my early photos submitted here. but to be honest i'm still figuring out how to meet the standard of the three different screen with these types of photos. some phenomenon here. i'll give you a tip dont send image more the 350 kb. if a rater get bore due to loading time issue that guy may just give you 3/3 or skip. many thanks for the wonderful review its very helpfull to me. best regards DSC.

this one is a commercialize shot. the main porpose is to get high ratings. eye candy shot. if you find a group of photos in the architectural category monotonous lack of originality please send your commercialize shot. i'm sure it will grab lots of score. not really artistic but it can get the job done. thanks for the visit best regards DSC.

i have several composition of this kind. stock in my pc. after two submission i got good reviews and ratings. i stop, may i don't want over exposure of this type of composition or i don't want to make these my bread and butter. if you view photo porfolio of most toughnotch open participate in the photo critique forum. they have what you call bread and butter photos. if they lost score in their latest submitted photos they will bring out their bread and butter photos very open will get high rating. sort of commercialize image. thanks again regards DSC.

your comment alone i'm already happy. your observation is right, these shot is under time pressure lots of wild dogs in these area, actually its located in a small hill very spoky place very few people go. sometimes i trade perfect geometry for speed and content. in this case i like the fog. may be rotating the house will improved the angle. good point i appreciate it very much. many thanks regards DSC.

i'll give you a tip its a give and take. anonymous raters view your image in a small screen. most 3/3 also comes from small screen. the big image is actually least of your worries. try to perfect the small screen. resizing issue is a phenomenon problem in pn. try to make an image that will come out good in all the three screen thumbnail, screen for anonymouse and large image. best regards DSC.

for me the rating system is quite ok. cause if you check my photos rate received i seldom get 3/3 and i never complain about it. in most cases i'm the one who explain who are this 3/3 guys. my theory about them is true. common misconception about the 3/3 guys are they reside in a deserted island, no shave for almost a year, they dont take a bath, they only stay infront of a monitor. looking waiting for the next victim. but in reality these are just group of normal individual with very high taste when it comes to photography. give me a week and i can find all of them. but i don't want that. if i get rid of them how will i know if my photos are really good. so we actually need them. what happen to me and mr. .[.Z is more on a personal thing may be i wrote something in one of my comments and it affect him emotionally. and his retalation to me is not also a common act of these toughnotch critique. in fact its the first time i experience such an attack. and it made me panic i don't know if somebody rate any of your photos direct with 3/3. actually the amature photographers needs these expert critique to for proper guidance or else where all lost. if they are not here life will become very boring and photography will become a meaningless hobby. i like standard very high standard though it force all photographer harder. believe me you these group of people can bring out the best in you. what i regret is when they tamper and change rating given by mr. .[.Z the old man lost his stature as being the toughnotch crtique i used to know, now his just a ordinary person in PN a common rater in the eye of the public. his not distinctive anymore. many thanks andrei for a very good analytical reviews. best regards DSC.

lets continue the conversation. i don't know what happen that day i promised my nephew nonoy that i'm going to make honest portrait of him while they are playing the war game. i told him i want to capture the very intense facial expression during the mids of the battle. infact even my friend mr. D Are is not happy for the quality of the dice. may be because of the nature of the game waterloo, napoleon. i wanted to record a piece of history with very minimal PS used. which turns out to be short. anyway in just a matter of few months i learned so much here to co-photographers. i love this place. many many thanks to your very interesting and educational review. ill follow exactly what you told me. in my future posting for portraits. best regards DSC.
