  1. In addition to the above question by Barry Davis, I would like to know a little about your workflow when it comes to the albums.

Do you use any special software?

Do you use any standard layouts?

Do you have any preferences as to the number of pages and type of album you deliver?

    thank you in advance!

  2. I have yet to shoot an actual wedding. My first is a very informal one in september. I have tried and tried again to become a "caddy" for a pro in the area, just to see what they're doing and not doing. But no one wants me *sob*

So I lurk here, there and everywhere on the net to suck up as much info as possible before my "initiation"

I have done a lot of event photography, mostly concerts, so of course the basics on photography are more or less well adjusted. But you never stop to learn and I want to become better every day.

I agree however that jumping headless into just shooting a wedding without aquiring the necesarry knowledge, skills and gear first is plain stupid.

  3. Drinking too little is also not good. Who would want a photographer who passed out in the sun because he forgot to drink som water.

I would also not recommend drinking any coffee, soda, beverages in general. They will all make you pee more than if you just drink water.

You'll come a long way by just eating fruit, vegatables and drinking water on the day.

  4. Hello Chris,

If I were you I'd change away from auto white balance and take a reading for your studio lights.

Another thing you could do is use something like the whi-bal to do an initial shot on location and use that as a white balance default for the rest of the shots you make in that setting.

    Hope that helps

    Best regards,

    Sune Pedersen

  5. Greetings Bogdan,

As for Canon RAW files, I would recommend using C1 (any version be it Pro, LE etc) and invest in the profiles for your specific camera done by Magne Nilsen. He usually delivers two different profiles, lo-sat and hi-sat which other than saturation are somewhat different as well.

The lo-sat is very good for people photography and thus also good for wedding with and without flash use.

Other than that I'd recommend shooting a color checker chart and make a profile for your specific camera for ACR for every ISO value you shoot.

    Best of luck,

    Sune Pedersen
