if you have a hosting company you can do all of this with Joomla.
people can reg. themselves upload/download and std. image size is 10meg.
most free host company's do not give large storage.

-

if you are willing to pay for hosting there are many hosting companys that offer free web software as part of the package.
like Wordpress Drupal and Joomla.
i learnt how to build Joomla web sites with online help in a short space.i am still learning but least i can build my own sites

-

have a look at Coppermine and 4images
both are pretty simple to use on front end.

-

you did not say if it is full length or not as one speedlight will not give enough for full length
i would use both to high key background and expose model with available light then you will have high key background
otherwise you are short a few lights

I find the home page to long i almost never scroll pages, also what is on the home page is also on other pages.
rather go for an into on home page then have links to various sections find the font bit hard to read to.pages loaded pretty quick under my 5 sec limit.

Many years ago i spent a large amount on a flash site, the only visits it got were from me.so decided to do my own thing i now use Joomla with static web gallery.
as said above to me flash is so 80's it should be banned as a health hazard,i know i get agro with thing popping and jumping all over the place"I AM JUST TRYING TO LOOK AT YOUR GALLERY" but no i must endure this bandwidth eating junk.
And don't give me those pop out menu buttons that take a surgeons skill to navigate.
and why must contact us be a secret hiding in some odd place so no one can find it .
A tog site should be no more than 4-5 pages.

Take the time to learn Joomla i went from Dreamweaver/frontpage/Expressions and the first bits of Joomla were hard to figure then found a whole world of how to on net after that it is a lot easier than writing html etc.

-

If you use Joomla there are loads and some really good ones

-

Not sure about were you are but here way to much is placed on your "graphic" skill and very little on photographic skill as i have very little on the graphic side i use Lightroom it is the digital version of a darkroom .so you can make the model thinner or bigger etc. so if you did not shoot it right well you have a problem.
there are loads of software out there to choose from .So unless you suffer from peer pressure you will never need PS.

-

now add the software to the filters and see the difference i can do a faster colour change using filters than i can get with software, you can not put back what you burnt out,

i have being trying to get my sb800 to work on the front power socket but it will not have gone upto 7 volts still no joy does anybody now what the power should be based it on the 5 battery setup 5x1.5
centre pin positive right pin negitive left for flash
test us some of you have done through the battery bay at full power it takes 6 volts at over 2 amps
under normal flash 500ma will be fine.
just being testing again the sb will run quit happy at 5 volts so get yourself a atx power supply and use the 5 volt rail plenty amps and cheap may need to do small mod to keep atx psu running.
