  1. Hello dear PN-Friends!

I'm on photo.net again. No, no thoughtful attempts, no requiems, no dreams*, no information attacks, no cheap macro-images anymore. In fact, no images at all...

This is call for photo donations for a New Youth Rag. TOILET NEWSPAPER. So, I'm involved in the launching of a Toilet Newspaper. What is expected?

Blood-curdling stories, absurd out-of-place poems, cooking recipes - these are only a few examples of possible columns for this newspaper. Actually, it's not a traditional newspaper itself, but rather a real piece of writing in a short form - one A4 page with some text, images, graphics and other flood, designed specially to be read in the toilet.

Yes, rag, tabloid, yellow press, call it as you like.

But still, it's a newspaper. A Toilet Newspaper.

And, we're looking for some nice pictures or cartoons for our new media-child. I know there are people on PN who do some crazy job - I'd be grateful if you share your work with us. As a "thank you", your pictures will be not hidden in portfolios, but appear on the most unusual European newspaper ever imagined!

A bit of formality: The project has been introduced during the M100 Youth Media Workshop 2007 in Potsdam, Germany. The primary WC-Press Team includes, but is not limited with volunteers from Ukraine, Germany, Poland, Sweden and Hungary.

If you still believe it's stupid, you do absolutely right, just ignore this message.

If you would like to discover more about the project, follow the link http://studnews.in.ua/wp-content/uploads/wc-press-project.ppt or send a request to wcpress@gmail.com.

    Yours crazily

*(no dreams? Oh, dozens of... but now real, not photo-dreams)

  2. Kelvin, please, don't consider this my thought as a stereotype; I don't fancy stereotypes by the way... Maybe you're right by choosing an original model for this shot; but as for me it wouldn't be the image "we've seen million times" (in case it was a woman) because of it brilliant execution. Anyway, the photo really deserves attention with no difference whether it was a man or a woman... My congratulations ones more! Thank you for sharing!

The attached image is actually the original one. I can't decide what variant is better: WITH or WITHOUT light spots on the lips? Doesn't their removing change the whole appearance? Many thanxxx in advance

  3. Composition - super, lighting - excellent, colours - amazing, moment - stunning. The only thing I can't understand in these brilliant shots is why the model is a man. I'd give you 10 for aesthetics in this photo-series, if the model was a woman. Well, maybe it was a special idea, but still I can't get it...

Who said sunsets aren't worth admiring anymore?? Well, there is such a tendency in photography nowadays. Don't believe such people. They just don't have any idea of eternal beauty and are simply too overwhelmed by creating smth modern and not always high-quality. I just wanted to say that this one is lovely&thank you for keeping on taking such brilliant shots!
