  1. Try it without a frame. Something "fearful" wouldn't be "boxed" in so much, if you catch my drift. The cat should be coming at you (or at least contemplating coming at you), rather than contained. Good shot - let it attack.
  2. Really have to look hard to see the kneeling girl's cat-o-nine tails (you've got a lighting riot going on, and, I'm pretty positive dominatrixes don't wear hair scrunchies on their wrists). Not sure what you're going for here....well, ok, sex, but, there are a lot of ideas crammed into this photo and none of them really work. Billiards, bondage, S&M, cheesecake: makes for a fun night, but not always for a good photo. What the heck is that on the table behind the girls? Ahhh, college...

    ...your vile critiques, Paul!

I'm kidding, of course. Good points. In all honesty, not to just say "How dare you question me" or anything, she's supposed to blend in some. Edges are ever-so-slightly burnt. Thanks for the critique. I might mess with it a bit using your suggestions and see what happens.

The lens flare (which I think may have been added in Photoshop, pretty positive of that, in fact) completely detracts from the chipboard inside the lens. The lens flare also doesn't make logical sense in its placement, nor does it make logical artistic sense in its inclusion in the photo. In other words, the photo is pretty confusing. Am I supposed to be looking at the chipboard (I think that I am)? If so, why was the lens flare added? If it wasn't added in post production, I'm very puzzled about the intent of the photo (I'm very puzzled about the intent either way). In addition, the choice of white background blows out the right side of the lens, so, you already had one hot spot - why add, or present, another?
  5. The pink colorization wasn't needed. The girl is unique on her own without "the frills" - her enthusiam/antics contrast very well with the other girl, and coloring her dress pink just makes her completely overwhelm the other girl. It would work much better as straight B&W.

The blue colorizing of the eyes is overwhelmed by the blue colorization of the toy in the lower right. The toy draws your eye away from the face. Well-taken shot and would be stronger in just B&W. Cute baby too.
  6. Full frame. When I was originally composing it, I tried the "basin surrounded by black" composition, and, it just didn't look right, for some reason. So, I zoomed in. Thank you for the compliment.

Thanks to everyone for your comments!

What are you going for here? The title is "New Socks Please", but the focus isn't on the bare feet. Too many things to look at (like a lot of blank space that throws off the composition) and it looks like you snuck up on the guy.
