<p>Is there somewhere where RFF refugees can register ... I seem to be a little stateless! LOL</p>
<p>I'm sure that RFF, like the phoenix, will rise from the ashes! :)</p>

Having had an M7 and now moved to the Zeiss I can agree with all his observations. The M7 did have a feel to it that eluded to something carved from solid metal ... the Ikon definitely feels pressed and molded in comparison.
The viewfinder of the Ikon is it's strong point IMO! :)

Thanks ... that's The answer I was looking for Doug ... and it's what I suspected. Why the hell Epson sells a capable scanner with specialised software that only has the ability to scan one image at a time mystifies me? I have been using the supplied Epson software which does bunch scanning but lacks the image sophistication of SilverFast. Aparently for another $119.00 I can upgrade to Ai. I upgraded from the supplied 6.4 to 6.5 ($49.00) hoping that it would give me that option but no ... they want more money from me for this capability! ;-/

I recently bought an Epson V700 scanner that came with Silverfast 6.4 which I
upgraded to 6.5 SE
I am slowly going insane trying to work out why I can't seem to scan images
after the prescan as a group. It's only allowing me to scan them one at a
time. After the prescan I manually create a separate parameter for each 35mm
frame by creating a duplicate of the first and dragging it into place and so
on ... but after I finish ... it only allows me to scan one frame ... which is
the one highlighted. Is it just me because in the supplied Epson scanning
software this is not the case and it has a select all function before you scan
to file. I can't seem to find any way to do this with SilverFast!
PLEASE HELP ME ... you may save a life. ;-//

Mark ... I bought a very straight black one a year ago for $200.00 US. It had a flash sync added to it which effectively lowered it's value ... I wasn't concerned about the addition of the sync at all. They are a very pretty camera!
Cheers ... Keith

>>Thankyou Larry .... you've restored my desire to own an M8! :-))
On the basis of an unsharp image 511 pixels wide? Wow, that's some faith you have there.
I wasn't really considering that pic ... I have seen ample images to indicate to me that the M8 is capable of producing very good results. I was refering more to his generally positive attitude and enthusiasm for his new digital M.........???????? :-/

Thankyou Larry .... you've restored my desire to own an M8! :-))

<p>"last i heard from stephen...we are moving asap to another bigger, better, faster host..."</p>
<p>Thank god for that ... it's getting frustrating.</p>
<p>I would really like to thank <strong>Josh</strong> for allowing the hardcore RFFers to run this thread here at p.net ... it's become a great point of reference for RFF's current problems.</p>
