  1. The weight issue is really not a joke if you have to carry the camera around for 10 hours in one day. One of my friends who is also a pro wedding photographer had to have his should operated on last year because the weight of the camera messed up his shoulder and mine is on the borderline of maybe having to do the same.
  2. I have a 5D and use a D30 and a 20D as second bodies, it is hard for me to get used to not having the full frame when I switch, so I ordered a new lens (17-55 f 2.8 canon) that might help, but who knows. I love the 5D and with me it was not a money issue, but a weight issue. I can not see myself shot one of those other cameras all day and all night long.
  3. What I do is give the couple a nice Thank You card that also has the URL to their pictures on it. I design the card with one of their wedding pictures and have them printed and enclose an envelope so it makes a nice presentation and it is a gift from me to the couple.

It works and it is a nice thank you to the couple for choosing me as their photographer.

  4. I had quite a few friends that had problems with the SanDisk cards lately, mostly while using them on the 5D Canon, I myself use Kingston and so far so good. With the 5D 2 gig is just not enough when you shoot raw, I use 4 gig, but never larger. Just in case something does go wrong. But like anything else in life, nothing is for sure and anything can go wrong at any time. Accidents do happen if we are careful. With the 20 D I would use nothing larger then a 2 gig card, but you would need a few if you shoot raw.
  5. I hate to tell you D.J. when I had my d2h the same thing happened to me all the time. I guess nothing is perfect. All I can say is that I have been using Kingston 45x cards lately and they seem to be more stable (knock on wood) ...........
  6. This is getting scary, I had a lot of my photographer friends tell me that their lexar cards are getting the same thing, but I had the same happen to me with SanDisk. I thought it was because I switched the card from a 20D to a 5D, but I did reformated it when I put it in the 5D. Strange......... I did get my pictures back with the recovery program.
  7. Ryan, I know what you mean........I am pretty good with photoshop and it was great practice for me, but I did have a rough time with the group shot. Could you email me your secret :) dhexe@alltel.net, I would really like to know the steps that you took. Thanks!
