  1. Hi Patrick...........Sorry for the delay in getting back to you.......Technical problems on pc.Well I've finally found out why I wasnt seeing the images. After I had done a recovery on the hard drive I set up broadband etc before I downloaded the latest updates. One I had the updates the problem was sorted.Thank You for your help it was appreciated.
  2. Thanks Jeff for your ideas. I too have have done a recovery on my pc.I have not yet re installed my usual progtams etc.I do not have firefox.I did have skype but have not reloaded it has of yet.I have ensured the Tools/internet/advanced/show pictures box in in IE is ticked etc..so still at a loss at the mo to know what to try. It seems to initially show a some pictures but in the critique forum especially it misses out a lot of pics and this seems to get worse the longer I am in it. Even my portfolio pics are temperamental.......Getting a guy around tomorrow to have a look further at this end.time will tell...but very frustrating! Thanks for your advice.
  3. Hi Josh, I too have had the same bogus high ratings removed yet again.I understand its important to do this. However in order to stabilise the rating system so that it is creditable would it be possible to block the specific 20 users that you are aware of before they rate any images?
  4. A couple of days ago I looked at a couple of my pics that i had posted for

critique and one had been rated 21 times and one 23 times and some good ratings

I looked today and the are now detailed as being rated 12 times....and the

good ratings are anongst those removed. do ratings startagain after a short

period of time....can anyway answer me why such happenings happen?

  5. Anthony, yes thats how it appears to me and thats despite focussing all shots on the word 'anagram'. Not sure if it happens in all settings ie centre weighted, matrix or spot...but i did ensure that the focussed spot indicator was present as I took each pic and to my eyes which are getting a little older now everything appeared ok through the lens.I will have to try to allow to aim lower. non taken with WA though, all just normal house lighting etc

    1st 10thsec/f1.8/ 85mm nikon, 2nd 1.6sec/f4/110mm (70-300 sigma) taken at 110mm,3rd 8thsec/f1.8/nikon 50mm prime.....seems sigma win the day....Anyway I am going to play around a little more with it taking loads of test shot.<div>00KRZD-35619384.jpg.3a25ab2e6941d7270380b3aabdcbbbc8.jpg</div>

  6. Anthony, Yes as you first mentioned I will take a test shot as you reccomended in fact I intend to take several now with sigma and nikon lens auto and manual then not do any sharpening at all in post process etc I will post one- a manual focus pic here.

I have a 50mm nikon prime lens and a sigma 10-20mm wide angle maybe an idea to see them also to try and find a common factor etc

Again Many Thanks to each of you....
