Usually people tend to see Bruges as an open air museum... But there's

not always polished beauty in every street. It shows that Bruges isn't

an artificial thing but a living organisme, just as any other city.

I like the image a lot, it sure has potential, but personally I would increase the contrast just a little. It's just a subtle difference but what do you think?

Once enemies on the battlefield, now united in death. Dotted

throughout the very west of Belgium one can find numerous cemeteries

as silent witnesses of the Great War that raged furiously between 1914

and 1918, taking hundreds of thousands of young lives. Most are

English, some are French, one is German. In death all are equal.

Thanks for rating and thanks for your much appreciated critiques

At Tyne Cot Cemetery, named after a Tiny Cottage that was to be found

in the middle of the battlefield, rest the mortal remains of 11956

soldiers of the British empire who fought and died more than 90 years

ago. It's that largest British burial ground on the mainland. Thanks

    for rating.

The Menenpoort in Ieper visualises the attrocities of war in a

breathtaking manner. Carved in stone are the names of 55000 British

and overseas soldiers that were left missing in action during the

great war that roamed over the Fields of Flanders more than 90 years

ago. May their souls rest in peace. Thanks for rating and commenting.

In the very west of Belgium, hundreds of thousands of young men have

lost their lives in the most brutal war fought in Europe. The

countryside is literally dotted with war cemeteries without judging

who was wrong or who was right. In death all are equal. May their

souls rest forever. Thanks for rating
