I bought the Leica rangefinder not long after I got the 617 and used it for the 300, and it was accurate for focus but not of much use for DOF. At the time I had only the 90 and 300. When I got the 180 I found I needed the ground glass, and have never used the Leica rangefinder again, almost always using the GG. I had Bill Maxwell provide a fantastic replacement glass/fresnel for the GG holder which really improved it's utility.

try silverfast HDR. With an Imacon P-3 I scan 160VC with the RGB set for
transparency , only adjusting for the histogram ( pulling sliders into the edges
). Then open the file in HDR ( as a negative ) and use their negative
profiles..then Photoshop it.

the 150 is a truly fantastic lens; however the image in the viewfinder is quite
small with the 150 lens selected therefore it generally helps to select an area
of easy focus ( eg: a branch, pole, window, etc. ) within the image and use
that to accurately focus prior to final framing.
