Jonathon, Greg and Dieter - thanks for your suggestions!

Thank you for your feedback! I wanted to emphasize the little lizard that the bird is holding but it's hard without (like you said) ending up with an akward "floating head" scenario.

What a beautiful image! I love the soft colours and the blurry background - the bird really stands out.

Thank you for your comments! I learned that margays (tree ocelots) are small nocturnal cats that are found from North Mexico to Argentina. They spend most of their time in the trees. This guy here was in an enclosure and I took the photo while looking through the cage wires. He barely blinked an eye as I took a few images...

Hi Tommy,
Thanks for your feedback - it's very helpful. (I'm really just starting with digital photography and have to sit down and start learing PS). This photo was just cropped; no other changes.

Hi Joe,
Thanks for your comment and suggestions! I got the idea from looking at various vacation brochures and thought I'd try it myself...

"I am interested if anybody has a similar capture of a bumblebee -- head-on and flying that shows the eyes like this. Anybody have a link?"
John - I took this picture last year; it's not nearly as good as yours but I thought I'd share...
