Polaris SPD100 is the choice for many professionals in the midwest. Sekonic, JTL, etc are over-priced with the same features (unless you really need the remote triggering of Sekonic L-358 et al). SPD200 is backlit as is the SPD500 that includes a 5 degree spotmeter.

Time for you to be smart and me be dumb. My Sekonic L-358 has a tranmitter
module in the battery compartment. I need to buy a PocketWizard Max or Plus
for the camera and then another pocketwizard for each Monolight/strobe. I
understand that. How does the pocketwizard physically connect to the monolight
(s)? Anything cheaper than the four (4) channel Plus model (i.e. Is there a
basic receive only pocketwizard unit for strobes/monolights)? Anyone have
other remote light meter triggers they like? Any suggested system needs to 1.
remotely trigger the flash units while metering 2. remotely trigger the flash
units from the camera (Mamiya RZ67) 3. Not spend my kids entire inheritance.

Set the shutter for your slowest speed and see if you hear the difference from regular speed. Most likely you broke the whist pin that allows the "notching" or clamping of your dial to one position. You will need to tape or otherwise jury rig something to hold the dial in place until repair.
Outside of that, expose a roll of film with some bracketed images and see if what you got matched what you expected.
What repair job isn't major on a Mamiya?

Anyone know where in the USA the Polaris SPD200 can be purchased? It is the
same as the SPD100 but includes the back light. Also referred to as the Polaris
2. Lots for sale in England but have not found a source in the 'colonies'.
Adorama, B&H etc only sell the dark version (SPD100).
