Well done.

Dit is bleddie goed. Regtig besonders.

Nope - just slow shutter speed, polarizer and a good 'ol twist of the wrist.

ondersoek alles ... maar behou die goeie ;-)

Hi Paul. It has been a while. It looks like you are venturing into the world of strobes and portraits. I liked this one the most - I guess it's all about the eyes for me. Looking forward to follow your progress.
Best wishes

Thanks for stopping by Paul, amd for your comments. It was indeed impossible to get this from another angle, as I was still on the ferry coming into the harbour. This was one of those split second opportunities.
Good to hear from you again.
Cheers

No PS. Effect achieved in camera. Ratings and comments welcome as
always.

You did well with the slow shutterspeed. I would however consider trying to compose it that the twigs and leaves are not obscuring the view. In my mind the foreground leaves are really bothersome. You could also consider taking it muck later in the day. Good luck and take lots more.

Only PS was some minor levels adjustment. Effect achieved in camera.

Hi Paul
It's been a while since I've bee active on PN. Hope everything is going well. Reading the post above, I think for me the debate has gone away. The only question I'm left with is where am I ever going to find time to really do photography? ;-)
I'll stop by again.
Cheers

Great idea and execution. I'm just not too sure about all the pink - how about a black and white version, and maybe a slight tilt to the left to straighten it a bit?
But otherwise, very clever take on a much photographed beacon. Well done.

Hiehiehie.... good one. Really witty.

I thought the two benches added to the dynamics of this image, which is a good street shot. The space between the benches is akin to the space between our normal and our more adventurous lives, the bridge to be crossed so to speak.

Excellent. This would make any garage door jealous.
